Meet Yalou


Hi, I'm the woman behind the camera. A trained visual anthropologist, photographer, and medicine woman. Combining knowledge, art, and connection through photography and film. When I'm behind the camera, I prefer to be partly invisible, yet I'm here to see you. And let you see yourself through my lens.


For the past three years, I've been specializing in retreat photography, both as a participant and co-creator, as well as a photographer and filmmaker. In February 2023 I finished my first documentary 'Rising from the Ashes', a film on contemporary witchcraft and grief. Before that, I worked in marketing and content creation. Combining knowledge and experience from different fields makes me the perfect person to help you capture the essence you want to portray in your business and in ceremonial settings.
